NOTICE

DisplayMod and the displaymod.com website are still a work in progress and any stated policies, terms & conditions, warranties, or product features are evolving daily.

The policies stated below are not final and may change at any time.

 

Please check back here before purchasing any DisplayMod product to ensure you are up-to-date with our most current policies.

A Warranty Card with information regarding your specific product warranty will be provided inside product packaging.

Product Warranty Policy

1. Notes:
The warranty terms may differ from one region to another. If you would like to verify the warranty terms of a DisplayMod product, please kindly contact us.

This warranty is given independently of any statutory warranty that may apply in the country or state of purchase and does not affect or limit such statutory warranty in any way.


2. DisplayMod General Product Warranty Policy
The information provided on this website is informational only. DisplayMod seeks to provide accurate and timely information; nevertheless, there may be inadvertent technical or factual inaccuracies and typographical errors, for which we apologize. We reserve the right to make changes and corrections at any time, without notice.


3. Product
In accordance with original manufacturer's products serial number/barcode, all DisplayMod Products and Accessories are warranted for 6 months ("Warranty Period") after the date of consumer purchase ("Date Of Purchase"). This warranty applies for the period defined in the warranty card provided with your product . To obtain Warranty service, original proof of purchase AND warranty card must be provided; if proof of purchase and the warranty card cannot be provided, the manufacture date as recorded by DisplayMod will be deemed to be the start of Warranty Period.

During this period, DisplayMod will, at its option, either repair the defective product with new or rebuilt parts, or replace it with a new or rebuilt product at no charge except as stated below. The parts or product that are replaced become the property of DisplayMod. Users who destroy or lose their original packaging materials and box will not receive replacements free of charge and will be assessed a fee if new packaging materials or boxes are required.

 

This warranty does not cover refunds nor will any refund be granted under this warranty.


4. Warranty Exclusions
DisplayMod’s warranty shall not apply, regardless of whether the Product is in-warranty, or out of warranty, in the following situations:

The Product is damaged by accident, abuse, catastrophe, improper use (including failure to heed instructions or warnings), improper maintenance, inadequate packaging, neglect, misuse, operator error;


The Product is damaged by external causes, including but not limited to, corrosion, falls, environmental factors (including temperature and humidity), power failure, faulty power supply, air conditioning, operator, data communications system failure or malfunction;


The Product is damaged due to alterations, changes, modifications, repair, or other services performed by a third party that is not authorized by DisplayMod;


Product accessory, apparatus, attachment, or devices that are not originally bundled with the Product, or is not provided by DisplayMod;


Damage to or loss of any data, program, or removable storage media;


Installation, relocation, or removal of Product or any accessories, apparatus, attachments or other devices;


Normal wear and tear, including without limitation, to a Product or Product accessory or part that is consumable or expendable;


A Product or part where you cannot provide the local warranty card, registration number, or purchase receipt issued by DisplayMod, or where the serial number or label has been defaced or removed;


Product that is not purchased from the DisplayMod Online Store, or was leased or loaned by a third party;


Damage caused by shipping carrier;


Hardware or software incompatibility issue(s);


Installation, removal, and set-up service charges.

5. Customer responsibility when using the product:

Read the user manual first and use the product only according to the user manual.


Do not leave the product connected to the power supply once it is fully charged and not turned on. Some electrical items are not designed to be left connected to a power supply for extended periods of time.

Keep the original packaging. In case the product needs to be returned for repair, original packaging provides a better protection for the product during transportation.

6. TFT LCD Defect Policy

The complex manufacturing of thin film transistor (TFT) liquid crystal display (LCD) screens may produce visual imperfections. These visual imperfections do not impair the performance of your product.


However, DisplayMod will provide Warranty service for your DisplayMod Product’s TFT/LCD screen only if there are at least:

​

  • 3 bright pixels or 5 dark pixels or 8 bright and/or dark pixels in total; or

  • 2 adjacent bright pixels or 2 adjacent dark pixels; or

  • 3 bright and/or dark pixels within an area 15 mm in diameter.

​

(Note: A bright pixel is a white or sub-pixel that is always on under black pattern.
A dark pixel is a black or sub-pixel that is always off under patterns excluding black.)

​

7. Privacy

It is necessary for DisplayMod to collect and process personal data in order to facilitate customer-requested services; for this purpose customer data may be transferred to and processed in any country where DisplayMod or its affiliated companies maintains offices. However, DisplayMod will use and protect our customers' personal data at any time and in any country subject to the DisplayMod Privacy Policy.

8. Out-of-Warranty Service

Returning the Product to DisplayMod during the warranty period does not automatically mean that it will be repaired free of charge. Upon receiving your product, DisplayMod reserves the right to check the validity of your Warranty and your request for Warranty service. If the Warranty Period has lapsed or if any of the exclusions in clause 4 apply, your request will be deemed out-of-warranty.


If your service request is out-of-warranty, an offer for repair will be provided to you, which you may accept or reject. If you accept the repair we will provide you with an invoice for the repair, labor, spare parts and other costs stated in the invoice. You must pay the invoice within 4 weeks of the invoice’s date of issue. The repair will only be completed after the invoice is settled. To the extent permitted by law, DisplayMod may charge you a diagnostic fee (including transportation costs if any) of up to $100USD if your service request is out-of-warranty and you refuse the repair offer; or if your product does not require service.


9. Abandoned Property
After your product has been repaired, or if you do not agree to the repair offer, DisplayMod
will return your product via the agreed RMA method. If you do not pick up your
product, or if delivery is not possible at the address provided by you, DisplayMod will send
you a notice at the address you provided when requesting the service. If you still
failed to pick up the product within a period of 90 days from sending the notice,
DisplayMod reserves the right to claim damages from you, including the cost of storage; to
dispose the product in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations; and any
statutory right of lien for unpaid charges.

10. Support
